Boosters

Many years ago we decided to stop selling cookie dough and lollipops and christmas wreaths, and we began funding part of our operating budget by asking parents for an annual Booster Membership donation. (PAUSD gives us about $1,500 a year. Our typical operating budget is $50,000!)

Gunn Choir Boosters is a group of community members and choir parents (and some people whose kids have graduated!) who, simply put, love and support the Gunn Choir. There are monthly evening meetings of about an hour in length, and varied volunteer opportunities which range from things like helping to duct tape a 6th grader into their garbage bag Alien costume for the February Show, to important and much needed fund raising for trip sponsorships.

A minimum donation of $50 makes you a Booster; you’ll find a membership form at the end of this page with more information on how to become one and some of the benefits you receive, or keep reading. With a minimum donation of $50 you will receive a pass good for two free admissions to the Fall, Winter and Spring Concerts. You will also see your names printed in a list of Booster Members that will appear in all concert programs. If you haven’t had a chance to donate, please consider doing so. It’s easy. Just make out your check for $50 (or more!) to the Gunn Choir Boosters, and mail it in to Mr. Liberatore with your name, address, etc. and the way you would like your name(s) listed in the program. There is a Gunn Choir Booster Board and there are various positions and committees. You can be a Booster without being on the Board, and you are always welcome to come to a meeting (see Gunn choir calendar) and see what it’s like! We are a fun and friendly group and we hope you will join us on paper with your donation, and in person at Choir Events throughout the year. Please join.
