William Liberatore

William Liberatore, in his 31 st year as Choir Director at Gunn, conducts three choirs, teaches AP Music Theory on campus, and leads an active program with performances in concerts, musicals, tours and festivals. He received his musical training at San Jose State University where he studied with Dr. Charlene Archibeque, one of America's foremost choral directors. In addition to teaching and directing the many fine music students at Gunn, Mr. Liberatore is the resident musical director at the 2019 Tony Award winning Bay Area theater company TheatreWorks. TheatreWorks conducting credits include the world premier of Stephen Schwartz's newest musical The Prince of Egypt and Min Kahng's The Four Immigrants. He has been a frequent recipient of the Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award for Best Musical Direction. Mr. Liberatore was the recipient of the Principal's Cup, Gunn's Teacher of the Year award, is an accomplished pianist and has served as the accompanist for the Coastal Region and California All-State Honor Choirs.

Angelina Fitzhugh

Angelina Fitzhugh was raised in Anchorage, Alaska, where she had the opportunity to travel and perform with the Alaska Children's Choir. After moving to California, she received degrees in Music Education and Education Administration from the University of the Pacific and Santa Clara University. Angelina began teaching at JLS Middle School in 2001 with a small choir of 14 students. Today, her program has grown to accommodate over 200 singers. She is a sought after clinician and honor choir conductor. Angelina has been recognized by the Palo Alto Education Association for her excellence in the classroom, and received the honor of Outstanding Music Educator from the CMEA Bay Section in 2013. Angelina lives in Half Moon Bay with her children.
